About Lucid
Lucid Research Limited was incorporated in December 1995, specialising in the creation of innovative software for assessment and training that is backed up by scientific research.
Lucid’s development team work very closely with psychologists at the University of Hull, UK, as well as with educational consultants, to ensure that its assessment systems conform to the highest psychometric and educational standards.

Chris is a Chartered Psychologist and Senior Lecturer in Educational Psychology at the University of Hull. He has been involved professionally in the educational and psychological assessment of children and adults for over 20 years, and has been researching in the fields of dyslexia and literacy development for about 15 years.
Chris has over 100 research publications to his name and is Editor of the Journal of Research in Reading. His many national responsibilities include being chair of the National Working Party on Dyslexia in Higher Education and a member of the British Dyslexia Association Computer Committee. As Research Director for Lucid, Chris is responsible for research strategy and co-ordinating the psychological aspects of Lucid’s product development.

LADS is a computerised test designed to screen for dyslexia in persons 16 years and older. The Lucid Multi-Demo CD contains working demonstration versions of all six Lucid assessment systems. It is important to note that although you can use the demos to try out assessments these should not be undertaken using 'real' pupils or students as the demos are not designed for this purpose and have some functionality disabled.
